The demonstrations were meant to show that the country hasn’t forgotten about the hostages and to protest against plans to expand military operations in Gaza City.
Yonatan Shamriz, whose brother was mistakenly killed by IDF troops along with two other hostages in December, stressed that “This day should be for unity.”
