During World War II, as German occupation forces sealed Jews behind ghetto walls across Eastern Europe, some chose to resist instead of waiting for death. In Lachwa, Mir, and Bialystok, underground fighters smuggled weapons, organized escapes, and launched uprisings against impossible odds. Many knew they would not survive. But resistance was about more than survival. It was about refusing to surrender their humanity, dignity, and right to choose how they faced annihilation.
