China has tens of billions in trade with Israel, deep infrastructure ties, and publicly praises its “friendship with the Jewish people.” But since October 7th, China has refused to condemn Hamas, bashed Israel’s military response, and cozied up to Iran. Chinese social media is flooded with antisemitism, and China’s government is pushing a pro-Palestinian narrative to undermine the U.S. globally. So is China really Team Palestine, Team Israel — or just Team China?
